Q: where to find a left side replacement glass mirror?
i have a 2000 chevrolet silverado 1500 i need the driver side glass mirror REPLACEMENT every where i search has been a dead end i just need the glass part not the whole side mirror any information would be greatly appreciated any web sites or in the austin texas area
A: just went thru this on a 98 monte carlo. searched every catalog in the shop, called my auto glass guy, no luck. dealer had a mirror glass and backing for seventy bucks, my jobber cost . found replacement glass only for eight bucks thru Lee auto parts in Crystal Lake, Il.the glass is sold by Dorman Products, one of the oldest suppliers of auto parts and accessories in the country. try .dormanproducts.com for an online catalog.if youre exact vehicle isnt listed ,read the directions on “how to measure a replacement mirror”.they will have something that fits nice

Amber Alert Issued for 3 Year Old Texas Girl

The Texas DPS issued the Amber Alert after the child was abducted and the mother was fatally stabbed in Pasadena Texas on Monday night.
Danielle Jimenez, a 3 year old Hispanic female. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She’s 2 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds.
The suspect is Leandro Jimenez. Leandro Jimenez is 38 years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He is a white male with brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a yellow pullover with blue jeans.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday, the suspect, Leandro Jimenez, is alleged to have stabbed his estranged wife. The assault occurred in the 16100 Block of Bear Bayou in Channelview.
The suspect vehicle is a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado pickup truck, silver in color, bearing Texas license plate 9NG H92. The pickup truck is reported to be an extended cab, step-side, with chrome wheels.
